Mwizero means Hope in Kirundi, the national language of Burundi. Mwizero Premium Burundi Coffee is grown by small, family owned farms who use coffee crop proceeds to send their children to school and cover their basic needs. Thus they have been able to muddle through years of hardship caused by over a decade of civil war and episodes of genocide, all with exceptional dignity.

We will use a portion of what you pay for this coffee to sponsor the education of children who have lost their parents under these unfortunate circumstances and support antiviolence initiatives in Burundi.
